Henry loved all the birthday presents. Thanks everyone. We all enjoyed our visit with family. One day we took a drive over to Foley, Alabama to visit their train museum and have malts and ice cream at the old-school pharmacy. The rest of the time we put together our Ikea furniture. Hopefully, I will get a nice photo of our dining room setup for the blog soon.

If you like trains or model trains, check out the video clips page of my blog to see our visit to Foley’s museum of trains.

On the same trip, we shopped at Nini Contemporary of Foley and chose a couch for our living room. It may take a little while to save up, but it will be worth it. Gus Modern makes the Jane Sofa (great name!), and we chose a lovely tweed upholstry. Here is a photo of the sofa from the Gus website:

Wish I could have been there. Aidan had a great time from what he’s told me. I hope he was good.

I wish you could have come too, Josh. Maybe another time. Miles had a fantastic time with Aidan. I loved seeing Miles interact with him. Right now, Miles is in the mimicing stage, and he copies Henry all the time. It is not cute. So Miles really got to use his language skills with Aidan.

I like your Gus Modern Jane sofa. I’m glad that there is modern stuff somewhere relatively close by.
I do not like Popey and Popey Sr. riding the Stella with no helmets. They get an official finger-wag from me. Hopefully it was just in front of the house.

We love the Rexall drug store in Foley! We always go there when we’re in Gulf Shores. They have the best butterscotch shakes! Plus, it’s fun to watch the train go around the store and see all the planes hanging from the ceiling.

That’s right! Jonathan got a butterscotch malt! It was so delicious. I love the root beer floats. I could go for one now. The kids loved the train and planes especially after just seeing all the model trains at the museum.
Marian, they were just going down the block. We only have one helmet now. That would have been sad to have a wreck in the neighborhood, wouldn’t it.
