Today our family went to enjoy Trinitas Christian School’s Fall Festival. Now most fall festivals probably do not have snow cone booths, but since it was about 91 degrees outside in Pensacola, the snow cones were a must. I had 2. Henry and Miles enjoyed theirs too. I love Trinitas. Yesterday, they threw me and Jane a baby shower. Thanks everyone for all the amazingly lovely girl clothes and gifts.

After the festival, I stayed at the school to finish this painting:

i really like the portrait. was it a commission? was the subject a friend, a stranger? you have such nice brush strokes.

Thanks. The subject is an art student of mine who is very skilled at drawing. I am going to paint another painting of her as a commission, possibly. This one might be going to a few juried exhibitions in the next month unless something changes.

I have been reading your blog for a few weeks, but I had no idea we are neighbors. I’m in Milton. Love your painting. It is very nice.

I bet that girl was so thrilled with the painting you did of her. I love learning about ‘who’ it is that is painted. that is why the national portrait gallery is so interesting I think.
banana is one of my favorite flavours, too.
