Miles asks this often: “Are you happy, mommy?”
What he wants to know is if I am angry with his lack of obedience. Its hard to control your emotions. Children are very perceptive.
Today has been no problem though. We started out just after 8am with Henry using the potty. He did not wet his diaper all night, so I let him sit on the toilet and “make it work” as we call it. Not bad for a 20 month old. He might be potty-trained before he starts talking.
The day is going well. Now it is nap time. I always enjoy the peace an quiet.
In the last week I have been able to squeak out a couple of little acrylic paintings between diapering and nursing.
I am getting more organized in general, and maybe I can get my blogging back on track soon. Organizing my home and scheduling meals are my new new year’s resolutions. I picked up these meal planners to help with meals. They are very helpful.
Stella is back on the market after years of scarcity. New scooters are available in Chicago. Check out the Genuine Scooter website.
I am hoping to learn to ride our Stella in the next few months. Can you believe that we have had the Stella for over a year and I have only ridden on it once? My excuse is that I was pregnant. It just did not seem like a good idea. Now I am ready to ride.
It’s good to be home without any major deadlines to worry about. I do have some sketches to finish, and then I am going to concentrate on what to do for the summer. I am hoping to plan out a couple of major oil paintings to complete during my husband’s time off from teaching. Anyone have any stellar ideas for an epic oil painting?
