Etsy’s Alchemy: A place where buyers can post requests for custom handmade items, and then sellers bid on the opportunity to make the goods.
I have made lots of bids for items, and I was chosen to do 4 so far. I just want to show you some of the commissioned work that I have been doing.
The first Alchemy job was for an Australian crafter:

The custom art was for the scrappindipity website. They sent me some photos, and I used my Wacom tablet to illustrate. One nice thing about this was the method of shipping- no trips to the post office; I just emailed it.
These paintings were also done through Alchemy:

I still have one more Alchemy project to work. I will be painting an ACEO in acrylic. Hopefully that will be finished later this weekend. All of the people I have worked for on etsy have been very kind. I am thankful for that.
Decima sent me an illustration job for a wedding shop in Chicago. That was also done in Photoshop.
The next big thing is a 24×30 oil portrait for an etsy buyer. The deadline is the end of the month, so I need to get to work. If anyone wants to babysit, let me know.
That’s all the sleep I got last night. I finished the Our Town ads (hopefully), and I worked on 2 oil commissions. Show you those later.
